Dr. Steve Parchment will lead a discussion on the controversial medieval philosophy of Peter Abelard (1079–1142). Abelard was twice condemned for heresy by ecclesiastical authorities—the first time resulting in the public burning of one of Abelard’s major theological texts, and the second culminating in his excommunication by Pope Innocent II. This event will take place as a virtual meeting on zoom on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, 3pm-4pm.

Pathfinders is an affirming weekly support group for students who are first generation college students. At EKU, a student is considered "first gen" if they are the first in their family to attend a four-year university or if neither of their parents/guardians have completed a bachelor’s degree. Some first gen students may have older siblings who have attended college. This virtual group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center and is hosted through a secure video platform.

Join Coach Samantha Williams and the Eastern Kentucky University Women's Basketball Team for the inaugural EKU Women's Basketball Shoot-A-Thon on Saturday, October 24 from 11:00am-3:00pm. Fans can attend the event either virtually or in-person. Fans all across campus are invited to sponsor a shooter by pledging a gift for each of their sponsored shooter’s made shots. There are many shooters lined up so far -- including Coaches Samantha Williams and A.W. Hamilton as well as President David McFaddin!
