Coping with COVID is an affirming support group for students who have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and are in isolation. This is a weekly virtual support group offered three times per week.

The College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences (CLASS) is offering a $500 stipend to a graduating student to present a commencement speech at the Fall 2020 Graduation Ceremony. To be eligible, you must have applied for Fall or Winter 2020 graduation within CLASS.

Join the staff of the EKU Counseling Center today for a workshop on Mindfulness. Being isolated in quarantine can lead to spending a lot of time on various activities that take your attention away from the present moment. Practicing mindfulness can be a great opportunity to improve your mental health by challenging yourself to be present and aware of your thoughts and feelings. In this workshop, you will learn tools that can help you practice mindfulness and work towards reducing and preventing stress, anxiety, depression, as well as many other concerns you may be experiencing. EKU Libraries invites the University community to participate in a virtual Halloween costume contest in lieu of our traditional, in-person event. EKU students and employees may submit a photo of themselves in costume via our Facebook page or by emailing photo to Christina.Stallard@eku.edu. Photos should be submitted no later than 10/27, and online voting will take place on EKU Libraries' Facebook page from 10/28-10/30. Prizes will be awarded to the following: Best Student Costume, Best Student Group Costume, Best Employee Costume, and Best Employee Group Costume. EKU Libraries requests groups limit themselves to 6 individuals, and that group photos are taken individually and submitted as a set of photos in order to practice social distancing.

The EKU VETS Office would like to invite all students, faculty, staff, and community members to participate in the Veterans Day National Roll Call of Fallen Heroes on Wednesday, November 11th, 2020. The National Roll Call will be conducted from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm at Powell Corner between the Powell Building and Case Dining, where we will read aloud the names of our fallen heroes from recent military conflicts since 2001. If you would like to volunteer to read names for a 15-minute time slot, please click on "More On This Announcement" to submit your volunteer form. We hope you will join us as we honor our nation’s veterans and fallen heroes.
