Join Veterans Studies professors and students interested in issues impacting military communities for a talk with Brigadier General Steven P. Bullard, Executive Director of the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs. Learn more about how the Commission works with the Governor's office on matters pertaining to military communities and their economic impact on the Commonwealth. We will discuss General Bullard's distinguished service, his transition to civilian life and post-service career, and debate issues related to veterans' identities, cultures, and experiences. The atmosphere will be casual and conversational. You are sure to learn something no matter your major. All are welcome. Use the link here to access the registration page. In support of the EKU home football game, the Student Recreation Center will close early on Saturday. The facility will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Normal facility hours will resume on Sunday, Nov. 8th. #GoBigE

Join us for Military Appreciation Day at Roy Kidd Stadium Saturday, November 7th at 3 pm as the Colonels host Stephen F. Austin. Students will receive their FREE ticket to the game at Gate 1 with a valid ID. Free EKU pom-poms will be also be available. The forecast is set to be 70 degrees and sunny Saturday. Understanding Self & Others is a group that supports participants as they create healthy relationships with others and with themselves. This group promotes authentic interactions as well as learning from others' experiences. In a time of isolation and loneliness, this group can help create a sense of connection and belonging. This is a weekly virtual group provided by the EKU Counseling Center and hosted through a secure video platform.
