Join Veterans Studies professors and students interested in issues impacting military communities for a talk with Benton Shirey, EKU's Director of University Advising. Benton was as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy from 1983-1987. He served all over the world in hospitals, clinics, and shipboard in medical support of both sailors and Marines. His duty stations included Balboa Naval Hospital, the Naval Hospital in Memphis, and Camp Lejune. Veterans Studies is heavily focused on transitions -- helping the public understand the move from civilian life to military service and back again. Benton Shirey has worked with young adults for 17 years at EKU and is an expert on the topic. This presentation would be beneficial to students in any major. All are welcome!
