With more than 500 million native speakers, Spanish is one of the most studied languages in the world and the second most spoken in the US. This workshop co-hosted by Dr. Javier Alvarez from the Department of Languages, Cultures & Humanities at EKU and Dr. Sharrah Lane from the University of Kentucky will feature six guest speakers, graduated with a Spanish degree who will present students with reasons to study it and discuss job market opportunities as well as advise for a successful career.

Pathfinders is an affirming weekly support group for students who are first generation college students. At EKU, a student is considered "first gen" if they are the first in their family to attend a four-year university or if neither of their parents/guardians have completed a bachelor’s degree. Some first gen students may have older siblings who have attended college. This virtual group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center and is hosted through a secure video platform.

You’ll get to work with a mentor-teacher at Model Laboratory School for a set number of hours each week in the spring semester. You'll practice teaching and facilitating meaningful learning experiences with middle and high school students.

Join the EKU Counseling Center staff today for a workshop on Distress Tolerance. When life feels like you’re currently in the middle of an unfinished Jumanji game, your emotions can activate with a high degree of intensity. Changes in your daily routine and the people you’re around can lead to a mixture of emotions. These new experiences can be stressful.
