EKU Athletics will be honoring the late Dr. Sheila Pressley and competing for the Opportunity Bowl trophy. Free long-sleeve EKU Opportunity Bowl shirts to students while supplies last! Students receive FREE admission with a valid EKU ID. All students will need to enter the stadium at Gate 1.

With more than 500 million native speakers, Spanish is one of the most studied languages in the world and the second most spoken in the US. This workshop co-hosted by Dr. Javier Alvarez from the Department of Languages, Cultures & Humanities at EKU and Dr. Sharrah Lane from the University of Kentucky will feature six guest speakers, graduated with a Spanish degree who will present students with reasons to study it and discuss job market opportunities as well as advise for a successful career.

If teaching is a pathway you want to explore, CLASS has partnered with Model Laboratory School and the College of Ed to design a brand new course experience that lets you see teaching from the other side of the desk!
You’ll get to work with a mentor-teacher at Model Laboratory School for a set number of hours each week in the spring semester. You'll practice teaching and facilitating meaningful learning experiences with middle and high school students.
